Paint the Void is not-for-profit organization, born from an idea to help keep artists engaged and paid as guardians of hope and beauty in a time of fear and uncertainty.
This piece was inspired by experience living in the Bay area and working as a barista. I brought to life the hope and beauty of the area with the warm aromas and color the city brought to my life and creative work.
This was one part of a creative beautification project connecting artists to the community in the heart of Berkeley. Hidden Café and the Berkeley residents raised funds for a dumpster mural to bring joy and warmth to everyone and spread the spirit of art.
The piece was inspired by the warm colors within the café and my previous mural
“Coffee Meditation”.

I was hired as a full time muralist and set designer by Sacramento Scream House. Over the span of 5 months this projected proved to be one of the most challengingly and creativitly rewarding projects with 4 haunted themes. I found myself breaking away from my normal dreamy whimsical style into more realistic portraiture and psychedelic horror.
The Silverthorn Amusement Park was a new attraction to the park and where I was given creative freedom to collaborate with Selicia Cruz another local artist.

Iron Veil Asylum is a hospital themed haunt with ridged nurses and maladjusted doctors.
I was asked to paint a UV mural above the entrance of the haunt and to make the nurse stare down the people below the entrance.
Done within a 4 day period.
